How To Lose Pounds Without Losing Your Mind

Losing weight the conventional way - getting exercise and staying away from your favorite high calorie desserts - can seem anything but painless. Fortunately, if you go about it the right way, the effort needed doesn't have to be superhuman. A few simple changes to your lifestyle can bring big results for your weight loss plan.
The following tips should help you lose those pounds without being driven crazy by too much self-deprivation.
Eat More, Not Less
Diets don't have to be about starving yourself. They don't have to be about bland food, either. There are plenty of healthy foods that can be as great as any dessert. Think juicy cherries and grapes. Throw a handful of these into your breakfast cereal. Not only will your breakfast look luxuriously colorful, the fruit will make it sweet, tasty and healthy. Keep shelled snow peas around at all times. You can add fistfuls to every soup or sauce. They're crunchy and sweet too.
These days diet experts write that losing weight shouldn't be about anything as depressing as self-denial. It should be about giving yourself more of other things. Whether you're thinking of exercise or food, more of everything is a good idea - just as long as what you bring in is helpful.
You don't even need to stick to salads. If you only like pizza, you can still eat it - only, you can get the low-fat version. You won't feel as bad if you allow yourself a low-fat pizza with less cheese as you would, getting no pizza at all. You could also try getting smaller portions when it's really rich food. If you hate diet soda, you don't have to drink diet soda exclusively. You can mix in half a glass of regular soda.
Fill The Void
Denying yourself extra-large portions of all your favorite rich foods can leave you feeling empty inside. Often, though, that's a void that can be filled with things other than food - like new interests. The more activities you have that you genuinely care about, the less need you will have for food.
Cut Out Exercise
In the movie, Back to the Future III, a 20th century Doc Brown regales bar drunks in the 19th century with tales of how, in the future, people will run for entertainment. Truth be told, running and lifting weights aimlessly - the way gyms encourage us to work out - is a depressing way to go about being active.
Instead, you just have to tell yourself to go play. Tell yourself instead that should get up and go splash about in the sea. Pull your dog's tail and run for your life as he chases you - be imaginative. Anything you do that gets you to move can help you lose weight. It is painless exercise. Why should anyone sign up for regular "exercise" when they can do this?
Find Every Excuse To Walk In A Fun Way
There are many ways to get a little more walking done. You should try whatever you seem to like best. Do you have a powered lawnmower? How about getting a manual push mower instead?
Do you enjoy doing charity work? Try volunteering for something that involves much walking - a charity drive, helping the housebound elderly in your neighborhood with chores, volunteering at an orphanage - whatever inspires you.
Being a mall rat is a great way to get some walking done. You don't need to consider it wasted time, walking up and down every level at the mall and drooling over the merchandise. You're actually getting exercise done for free.
Losing Weight Is A Way Of Life
It takes time to learn. It isn't something you can do in time for the party next week when you need to wear that new outfit. Stop setting yourself up with such impossible targets. Instead, give yourself all the time in the world.
It doesn't matter how slowly you move towards a healthier lifestyle. As long as you move in the right direction, it should be okay.
All you'll lose is weight.

Another Dieting Angle

The plastic beauties on Page 3, with pencil thin figures are a bunch of motley species leading the run-of-the-mill wannabe models and tinsel town hopefuls on a dieting spree, bordering on starvation that can lead these eye candies, in the offing, to the brink of total exhaustion and extinction. They are like hungry news hounds waiting to devour the latest tidbits and sound bytes on weight loss tips thrown around by the fashionitas of the pretentious beauty industry. But whether you like them or hate them, you can't just ignore them; after all, who dare play the blame game, when all they have is the drive and ambition to look no less gorgeous than their role models.
In the quest for a life less ordinary, with stars in their eyes and diet pills in their diet, they hit the gym, looking for perfection. Perfection? Yes the young brigade is obsessed with the clinical precision and flawlessness of their physical existence. They are an ambitious lot and they can go to all lengths to accomplish their well-crafted physical plans. But sadly their focus is misdirected, and there is no telling where their ends are with so misplaced a means. They have been looking for excellence in the physical realm, which for sure, is neither long lasting nor immortal. Real perfection would come only when you make a conscious effort to nourish and enrich the consciousness, the soul.
What about making a sincere effort to attain the purest diet for the well being of the body, soul and the mind? Instead of making concerted efforts to stick to rigid dietary guidelines and berating ourselves every time we fail to keep up the standard, we could let our palate run free for once to have the food that our body loves. We fear of the unknown, we fear that overweight and obesity would strike us and take their toll on us. Such fears drive us up the wall, and we begin looking for ways like dieting, drugs and other therapies to prevent the catastrophe falling on us, imposing rules and regulations to frame our existence.
We place due importance on the perfect physical nutrients for our bodily nourishment. What if we go a step ahead and place love and care over the nutrients? In a different plane, we can tenderly care for our body by delving into the deeper and richer sources of well being. Like a child responding positively to the affectionate and compassionate gestures of a mother, our body would maintain a state of perfect poise and harmony when we put our trust in the inborn intelligence of our body.
With the gradual corruption and materialization of the human mind, we have tagged each food item with a moral value even before we take the first bite. Depriving ourselves of foods that bring sensory and sensual delights has become ingrained in us. We feel that we our virtue helps us to attain physical perfection by suppressing the vices of taking a bite of the cake. Our mind is closeted in the very dark and pessimistic thought that pleasure brings pain, satisfying and gratifying food makes us overweight and obese.
Our mind is in state of joy and accomplishment after a very hearty meal, enjoyed with our heart and mind. Our spiritual state is at its peak, fully nourished, when our mind is filled with love and joy, free of the redundancies and idiosyncrasies of life. And a nourished and vitalized spirit is the key to the well being of our physical and external attributes.
The crowd that constantly ebbs and flows day in and day out of the-state-of-the-art gyms, keeping away from anything that is delicious should pick a line from the beautiful mother-child relationship. Shower love and care to the body, and let the body intuitively respond to what is best for us at the moment, with its innate wisdom. We need to appreciate every bite we take with gay abandon. When we value the love and wisdom of the body, our body would lead us to the food it needs.

Is Your Diet Healthy or Are You Eating Yourself To Death?

It is common knowledge that anybody trying to lose weight must reassess the way they eat. It has never been easier to buy foods that are unhealthy; easier being the operative word. Modern living ensures that almost everything is at hand which enables achievement of almost anything with the minimum of effort. Food is the prime example of this with ready cooked meals being sold on every street corner. So, when you are commuting home after work, with the dreaded thought of having to cook, the most common solution is to get a take away.
There are three main ingredients in most convenience foods that can cause the human body untold damage over a period of time. These ingredients are saturated fats, salt and sugar. The shocking reason that these types of foods contain such harmful additives is for profit. Salt enhances the shelf life of a product; saturated fats are cheaper than the more healthy alternatives and sugar improves the taste. Furthermore, ask yourself this question - do you really know what you are eating when you consume convenience food?
Although alternatives are just as easy to come by, the preparation and cooking process takes a little effort. So, once again, you come back to the laziness and inertia mindset that seems to have become a twentieth century epidemic much the same as obesity. Whilst our bodies were designed for mobility, many people prefer to sit in front of their TV eating a plate of fries and just wishing their excess weight away. Sadly, this will never happen. The only way to lose those unwanted pounds is by following the advice of an effective weight loss program.
There are a number of alternatives that can help anybody to lose weight like having a gastric band fitted. But this is an unnatural process and many people have them fitted out of sheer desperation. This last resort can be avoided and resolved the natural way; a weight loss plan can offer the same advantages but in a more comfortable manner. There is only one thing that deters a person and that is effort, but is your body not worth making the effort for?
You will only ever have one body; it is not like a car where you can trade it in for a new one. The funny thing is that many people care for their cars far better than they do themselves. It is up to you to take control of your body and look after it. By taking this action it could ensure that you live a long and healthy life.
Losing weight can be extremely stressful if you don't choose the correct weight loss program. So find out the most relaxed and stress-free way to reduce your weight by visiting http://www.dietfreely.weebly.com

It Looks Like a Pumpkin, Smells Like Fruit And Attacks 2 Common Type 2 Diabetic Conditions

Type 2 diabetics often suffer from fatty body weight, rising blood sugar levels, and cholesterol levels over 200.
Over the last few years, scientists at respected medical institutions, including Harvard, Creighton, UC Berkeley and others have turned to a pumpkin-like Asian fruit as a remedy to solve these conditions.
It's called garcinia cambogia and it's a wild-growing plant from the moist, rain-drenched Asian forests. Ancient folk lore had it that tribal bush people used this natural ingredient to suppress their hunger on long hunting trips
Recently, scientists from around the world have applied research procedures to measure the benefits of garcinia cambogia to help Type 2 diabetics.
Based on clinical tests, Dr. Harry Preuss at Georgetown University's Medical Center has found that it does actually help improve 2 of the 3 most common Type 2 diabetic conditions, reducing body fat and lowering cholesterol levels.
Also, the Burdock Group, an independent test facility tested the safety of this wild fruit and found that it passed a range of toxicity tests, making it safe for us in the short and long run.
Pharmaceutical companies have spent millions of dollars trying to create drugs that help Type 2 diabetics lead healthier lives.
Leave it to the ancient Asian bush people, without benefit of a medical degree to find a remedy for Type 2 diabetics, growing wild in the forest.
How does it work?
The dried fruit rind of Garcinia cambogia is a rich source of HCA, and has been used for centuries as a spice, flavor-enhancer, preservative and digestive aid throughout Southeast Asia.

Thus, it has a long history of consumption in countries where the plant is native. Structurally, HCA is similar to the common food additive citric acid, which also occurs naturally in citrus fruits such as oranges and lemons. The high bioavailability of HCA from Super CitriMax® (60% HCA) has been demonstrated in humans.
A primary mode of HCA action appears to be its ability to inhibit ATP-citrate lyase, an enzyme that helps to form the building blocks of fatty acids and cholesterol.

Family Weight Loss Challenges

By Jonah Rybinski

Before beginning a fat loss competition, it is best to plan and prepare. Have a plan is very helpful. If you'd like to begin a weight loss challenge ask around to figure out who you know has an interest and establish what exactly everyone is ready to stick to. Don't forget to be positive and tell them it is more of a support group than an extreme competition. Everyone ends up shedding weight therefore there are no losers. Put money at risk. We almost always require an entry fee for our competitions. Entrance charges suggest you'll be committed and provide additional commitment. The payments are then used for payouts at the finish of the challenge. You may pay all the money to the person who loses the highest percentage of their starting weight or divide it up however you choose. All of the competitions we've done were with extended family or close friends and we each trust that not a single person will be taken advantage of. We commonly make requirements such as no diet pills, surgeries or other extraordinary measures. Penalty fees can often be used to get individuals to weighing each week. We have had fees and penalties for not weighing in gaining weight and occasionally we'll even have consequences for failing to lose weight.

It can be hard to keep a group of people focused on trying to lose weight for several weeks. Set milestones and near future goals and objectives. Especially with big events, it is tough to keep on being excited for several months. Recently, I had a good challenge when we set milestones for 4 and 8 weeks and if you reached the milestones, you got credited a portion of your entry fee. Groups can also help many people have a sense of obligation. Whenever you have several people who are not as driven as others and don't believe that they have the possibility to win then groups may help inspire them to keep trying to help their team. I have various family and friends who love teams because then somebody else is depending on them whereas other people don't like it for the exact same reason or because they then have to depend on others. Don't forget to talk to your participants before starting to see if teams might help.

Try to be encouraging. It might be exhilarating to compete, nevertheless see to it the trash talk remains playful and polite. It doesn't help anyone to offend or boast continuously. Trash talking, when done correctly, may help inspire the competitive types to work harder. Around two to three months seems to work perfect. Very much more time and you get exhausted and lose participants and very much shorter causes it to be really hard to see the big results a competition might help you get. Reward participants for reaching goals. On a few occasions, we have agreed to give back penalty fees for anyone who meets their goal. Be sure everyone has a good goal. A minimum of one percent each week or more is a suitable goal.

Prepare for a post challenge. Once the challenge ends it is normal for competitors to overeat following a couple months of sticking to your diet. To try to avoid this, do this by getting ready to begin another challenge right after the close of the first challenge. Another option is to have another short challenge to see who is able to keep it off. This allows a little relief from strict dieting but may keep the participants from gaining all of it back again immediately.

Most importantly, enjoy yourself!! I have found weight loss challenges to be quite rewarding. They satisfy many key elements of a successful weight loss plan. They provide you with commitment and responsibility and it can be very rewarding to win a few hundred dollars along the way. There is scarcely a disadvantage if you offer your best attempt. What do you have to lose apart from a few pounds? The cash you may save on eating out can go towards the entry fee.

What Is Your Daily Calorie Allowance?

Some of us are numbers folks. We like the tangible, the finite, the prove-it-with-a-formula-and-I'll-believe-it mindset.
Honestly, there's nothing to be ashamed of about that. Personally I lean towards the numbers side just because it's something that can be counted and tracked. Sometimes numbers can work in our favor and help motivate us to push forward and strive for more.
For instance, if you were to time yourself when running a mile and find that you can accomplish that distance in 7.35 minutes, you have a specific number now. Having that now gives you additional motivation since you will strive to beat this amount the next time you test. You can then train for another week or two then re-test to see if you beat your initial test time.
All this possible because of keeping track of the numbers.
As I was personally gaining momentum during the first few months of the weight loss process, I naturally began to focus on eating in a more healthy manner because I knew that I had to get a strong handle on the types and the amounts of food I was putting into my body. This was priority number one especially since my eating habits for the past decade have been nothing but gluttonous.
Even though I knew for the most part what was considered to be healthy, I was still unaware of the amount of food I should be consuming on a daily basis. Therefore I was inevitably led to begin focusing on the amount of calories I was eating per day.
Now you may be wondering why it would be important to know how many calories you should eat daily if all you are planing to eat is healthy, nutritious food. Surprising as it sounds, even overeating on healthy food will not guarantee effective weight loss since your body will still be taking in an excess amount of calories.
Therefore a few months back, I started using one of those handy calorie counter websites that also had a phone application to use all for FREE! I simply inputted some of my physical statistics, job type, and exercise habits, and was then provided with a calorie amount I should strive to eat daily.
In other words, if I were to stick with this daily calorie amount as best as possible, I would lose weight each and every week.
Best yet, I can use this calorie counter/application to look up the nutritional content of food items I plan on eating. This is where a calorie app. really comes in handy especially for those times when I've been tempted to eat from a fast food spot. On more than one occasion when I found out the nutritional content of an unhealthy choice, it made the decision to avoid that option far easier.
For example, once I had the thought of a Double Quarter Pounder With Cheese Meal, I plugged the meal into My Fitness Pal app and I found out this ONE meal has 1,570 calories along with 67 grams of fat and 1,900 mg of sodium! After learning this valuable information it made changing my mind for something else much easier to do.
If you are interested in learning what your daily calorie amount is for FREE, simply go to http://MyFitnessPal.com and see what they offer. You can even use their FREE app if you have a smartphone such as an iPhone, Blackberry, or Droid. It literally just takes a few moments to set up your user account in order to learn your daily calorie allowance which will help you stick with your weight loss agenda.

How I Easily Lost 21 lbs. in Just Weeks- Without Getting Hungry!

I was shocked. I started to cry...
After the holidays, I stepped on the scale and discovered I was 30 pounds heavier than I had ever been in my life.
I'm a 56 year old grandmother (somebody please tell me how that happened) and it occurred to me that this time, I might not be able to lose those extra pounds.
Luckily, my health is good. I decided to do a little research into the problems and causes of obesity.
While searching for information on weight loss surgery, I happened on a study from Japan on apple polyphenols. It said that animals given these apple phytochemicals lost almost 30% of their organ fat after only three weeks. In addition, these lab rats also increased muscle strength.
"Wow," I said to myself. I wondered if it might work for me too. It occurred to me that the apple chemicals might be "rejuvenating" the lab animals, since organ fat increases with age. Other studies said these polyphenols were very safe. So I went to the health food store.
"Apple polly what?" said the sales clerk. I knew I had to look elsewhere. Finally, I found a web site that had it for sale. I started taking it every morning.
Immediately, I felt a new surge of energy and clarity of thought. So far, so good!
Then, I set about changing a few of the items in my diet.
First, I cut out refined sugar, and substituted diet colas and sugar-free candy to satisfy my sweet tooth. (There really have been some great improvements in the taste of sugar-free choices in the last few years. My favorites are diet Mug root beer, and Russell Stover sugar-free candies.)
I also added 5HTP to my daily supplement regimen, to help curb my carb cravings.
I stopped cooking with unsaturated oils, and switched to virgin olive oil. I limited my carb intake to ½ cup per meal, while keeping my body satisfied with plenty of beef, turkey, chicken, fish and cheese.
I ate as much as I cared to of protein, wholesome fats and unrefined carbohydrates, and gradually felt my body align to a healthier balance. Then, I began to slowly make my portions just a little smaller, one teaspoon at a time. I hardly noticed the difference!
To ensure that I was not denying my body adequate nutrition, I take a very good multivitamin formula. To this, I added extra calcium daily, in citrate form- the most absorbable.
Since I'm getting older, I also began taking DHEA for hormone balance. And, to stabilize my blood sugar and promote weight loss, I added konjac glucomannan to my pill routine.
In just 11 weeks, I have lost 21 lbs. on this program, and I have never been hungry.
And there are added benefits that I didn't expect. My skin is softer and smoother. My hair is growing thicker and faster, and my energy level is more like a 30 year old. My fingernails are healthier and stronger than they've ever been, and the "ridges" in my nails have smoothed out.
And the best part, besides losing the weight, is this: the embarrassing age spots on the backs of my hands are also going away.
Most importantly, I am not starving myself. I don't feel deprived. I have simply substituted some healthier eating habits, in a gradual way, so as not to shock my body.
This is a way of eating that I can sustain, unlike most diets I've tried. I can easily do this for the rest of my life, and continue to allow my body to find its own perfect weight.
My fat and weight loss is gradual and consistent, right in line with my doctor's recommendations for safe weight loss- about 2 pounds a week. I am well on my way to my ideal weight, just by following these few simple steps. Only 9 more pounds to go for my target!
My simple 10 point weight loss program is working perfectly for me. And the full details, including dosages of the supplements, are available at the web site link at the end of this article.
If you sensibly and gradually make small changes to the way you eat, and use some of the wonderful supplements now available, you too can be a much slimmer, healthier and more attractive person- at any age.

Three Reasons to Have Liposuction for Men

Liposuction for men is growing in popularity. As more people take to the doctor's office to find out how to improve the way they look and feel, it is likely that more will undertake these procedures. Lipo, as it is often called, can be very effective at removing problem areas of fatty tissue buildup. For many males, it is very important to take this step. It can improve the way you look, give you a boost in self-confidence and even help to reduce some pain you have. Could it be one of the things you seek out this year to improve your body?
After Weight Loss
One of the best times to seek out liposuction for men is after significant weight loss. You've done the work and lost most of the weight. You've dieted and exercised to get your body down. Yet, you have those problem areas that just will not go away. It could be in your midsection, your arms, or your legs. No matter what you do, you do not see improvement. That's where this procedure can work. It can help to get rid fat deposits that will not go away.
Tailored Results
Do you have an area of your body that just will not improve no matter what you do to it? For example, you may have fatty tissue around your arms that will not go away even if you are pumping iron and working your bottom off to get rid of it. One of the benefits of lipo is that your doctor can customize the treatment to handle those specific areas of concern you have. You can have very effective, localized results.
Do You Have Pain?
Many times, it is possible to use liposuction for men to reduce pain and discomfort in a very specific area. For example, if you have larger breasts than you would like to, this can, in some cases, put a level of strain on your neck, shoulders, and back. Though this is less common in males, it is still possible. By having lipo, though, you can remove that excess tissue and get a better-looking body as a result.
For those who may want to consider this, schedule an appointment with your doctor. Discuss your options. Find out if this type of procedure could help you. Liposuction for men is not uncommon. In fact, it is one of the best routes available to improving the way your body looks and feels. If you have problem areas, this could be the best route to take for treatment.

What To Do When Life Throws You A Curve Ball

As I sit and write this, I'm actually icing my foot. You're probably thinking why. So real quickly, I'll tell you that I've been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis that doesn't seem to want to go away. It's one of those things that is gradually healing but unfortunately, I've been thrown this "curve ball" and have to change the way that I do some things so that I can stay on track with my weight loss goal. Am I happy about it? No! Is it related to my chronic pain conditions? Maybe. But, I can't dwell on that. I don't know why it happened but I know that I can choose either to give up or keep moving forward. I've chosen to move forward. It might be at a slower pace that what I would like for it to be but it's still progress. What would you choose?
So, my question to you... Do you have curve balls that are thrown your way? Maybe it's health related, maybe it's with in your finances, maybe it's friendships. Regardless of what it is, know that there are things that you can do to continue to move forward even when it seems like you've suffered a setback. I want to share with you a few things that help me with moving forward with my better health goals. These things keep me on track when life hands me those unexpected curve balls.
1. Make a plan - It is imperative to have a plan in place BEFORE life becomes crazy. Most times we know or "sense" that something is going on. Whether we chose to acknowledge those things or not is a different story. For me, I knew that I was having issues with my foot and knew that if I ignored it, it would get worse. My plan for this was having a team of people I could count on for guidance and support to give me the information on how to treat this as well as listen and DO what they told me. Is it easy? Not always. But, I know that by sticking as close to my plan as possible, I'm able to move further with reaching my goals.
2. Have a visual accountability - I like crossing things off my list. And by list, I mean a "To-Do" list. When I workout, it's crossed off. When I drink Shakeology, it's crossed-off. I know that when I see these things crossed off that I am making progress, even when it seems like I'm not. Daily, consistent activity does work.
3. Have a support system - When life becomes crazy, and it's often that it does, it's very easy to turn to food to try and escape and as way to cope. I know this first hand, I did it for years. I know there were many a night where a bag of Doritos was my way of "fixing" things. I want to tell you thought that having a support system in place beforehand can literally make or break your fitness plan. It's important to have a friend or a group like my Facebook Power Starters where you can go and say that you are stressed and having a crappy day. Having people rally around you can give you the necessary strength needed to stay on track.
4. Have faith - I know that when things seem bad, it seems like it will never end. It does feel like that sometimes but truly, the journey is not over. When things seem at their worst, continue to keep moving forward. Have faith that what you're doing will work.
Life is going to continue to give you curve balls. You can make a choice like I had to make... you can chose to stay where you are at or move forward. I know that you have it inside you to move forward and live the life that God designed you to have. By having a plan, a visual accountability, a support system, and a little faith, you are arming yourself with an arsenal of weapons to fight back and hit those balls directly out of the park. You can do it!!!
Keep Up The Hard Work! I BELIEVE in YOU!

The Second Half of My Life

Have you ever wondered where destiny would lead you? Have you ever pondered whether the road you are taking would lead to fulfillment and happiness? Unlike so many of my friends and family, I have always had the sure knowledge of what was expected of me.
It was under a shade tree surrounded by my teddy bears and dolls that it came to me- I would have six children, write books that would help families, have the opportunity to speak and teach all over the world, and I would live to be 97 years old. That is pretty heavy stuff for a six year old.
I shared this epiphany with my mother, and she never doubted the message. She continued to encourage and support me through every milestone until she died in my arms at age 93. Even while nurturing my family of six children and following my husband's military career, I was gathering the skills to prepare me to "do my own thing." When my children were grown and my parents were gone, I realized that the portion of my life devoted to care-giving and nurturing of my family was complete.
I had 40 years of productive time left on this earth to accomplish all I had set forth to do. However, after carrying so much physical weight on my body for years, I was facing inevitable diabetes and arthritis. My future looked like pain, wheel chairs and doctor's offices. Unless I took action, medical complications would curtail me from fulfilling my destiny.
I approached this issue as I have the many books I have written. I investigated "one more diet" that I could live with for the rest of my life. I interviewed over 100 men and women across the country that had tried the same diets that didn't work before finally finding a method that proved successful. My mind was made up. I chose gastric bypass surgery as a one-time solution. On July 30, 2002, I underwent a procedure called laparoscopic Roux-en-Y. This surgery creates a small stomach pouch which holds less than a cup of food. A section of the small intestine is attached to the pouch that absorbs less food than before. Most patients lose over half their excess weight in the first year and a half. Since my operation, I have lost 115 pounds. This is equivalent to the combined weight of my three granddaughters, Amanda, Lexi and Melissa!
For the first time in years, I feel normal and in control when making food choices. Now I am able to enjoy life to the fullest and have the energy and stamina required helping other families raise their standard of living through my books and workshops. Finally, my spirit and body are in sync and I am ready to go forward. I am able to concentrate on my spirit's promptings during yoga because I am no longer concerned with whether my body will be able to balance, bend or straighten up. For me, this option was a success. It gave me the ability to concentrate again on my writing, and to feel confident when I facilitate workshops or speak to groups. Yes, I have met my goal of being an international speaker and writer!
To travel, teach, and fulfill my destiny I must be a woman of strength, and I must maintain that spirit and energy for the rest of my life. We each create our own reality by our thoughts, actions and belief systems. Hopefully that belief system will include guardian angels and a success team who will guide and assist us in our journey.
I have an obligation to that little girl under the shade tree who understood her life's purpose half a life time ago. The message that was shared with me and I now share with my children, my grandchildren, and the families that I work with is to listen carefully to the still small voice within that tells us we are important and have something of value to share with the world. The time to share your unique gift may not be now, but it will be someday and so always be in the process of becoming, learning and growing. Be open to possibilities that life and the angels have in store for you, and you will find the right road to fulfillment of your destiny.

Weight Loss Surgery Can Cure Sleep Apnea

One of the main reasons why some people opt to get weight loss surgery is to drop excess pounds, which is definitely understandable. However, many of them don't realize that these procedures can do much more than help them lose fat. Shedding those excess pounds can also do things like rid them of sleep apnea issues. Now, some may see this as a seemingly insignificant problem. However, there are many people who are dealing with this dilemma who would love to have some relief.
If you are currently dealing with this type of sleeping sickness, you may need to get weight loss surgery. Of course, if you aren't overweight this isn't an option for you. On the other hand, if you are, you may want to look into it. It could definitely change your life for the better in more ways than one. Just think about it.
One of the things that sleep apnea does is cause an interruption in people's sleep. Some people experience waking up with breathing trouble several times a night. This can cause them to be extremely tired in the morning and could even cause them to wake up later than usual.
Imagine someone who has this sleeping issue, trying to go to bed early every night so that they can wake up on time for work in the morning. Unfortunately, one night they end up having a particularly bad night and their sleep apnea issues start getting worse and their sleep is interrupted more than five times. Because of this break in their rest they end up waking up late for work.
Now, what if something like this occurred several times? They would not only be seen as the person who doesn't show up on time for work, but their job could also be in jeopardy as a result. To some, this may seem like a far-fetched scenario, but this can actually happen. The good news is that there is an answer and that is weight loss surgery.
By getting rid of sleep apnea this procedure can also prevent people from disturbing others in their sleep. Many people with this issue make loud snoring noises. Unless the person sleeping next to them goes to sleep first, he or she will most likely have trouble sleeping as well.
So, although weight loss surgery is a great way for people to lose weight, it also provides several other great benefits. This includes improving people's overall health as well as getting rid of annoying and chronic issues such as sleep apnea.
