Are You New to Yoga? Here's What to Expect

Yoga is known for its calming and stress-reducing benefits. However, if you're new to yoga and have never taken a class before, not knowing what to expect can have you feeling a bit nervous. Relax! We're here to guide you every step of the way so you get the most out of every class.
For our beginners, we suggest taking our Gentle Yoga class. This class is designed to give you the time and support to understand the proper alignment of yoga postures and breathing techniques. It's also perfect for people with joint or back pain.
While most people are familiar with the basic principles of yoga, many aren't sure how they should prepare and what a typical class entails. To give you some peace of mind before your first class, here are some tips on what you can expect as well as some common yoga misconceptions.
What to wear
Wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothes. You'll be bending and stretching a lot, so wearing clothes that are constricting should be avoided as they will hinder your movements. Remember, this isn't a yoga fashion show; you don't need to buy designer yoga outfits.
What to bring
Bring a yoga mat, a towel and water. If you tend to get cold, bring a blanket to use during the relaxation sequence. Leave your music and ear buds behind, however, as you will need to listen to your instructor throughout the entire class.
Sequence of the class
Most yoga instructors begin class with a warm up of some kind. This can include simple poses, as well as meditation and reflection. Next, he or she will lead the class in a series of poses.
If you're concerned about not being able to perform some of the poses, don't worry. Most poses have varying degrees of difficulty and can be easily modified for beginners. Often, the instructor will be available to show examples of modified poses and to help you get into proper position.
The class usually ends with a period of relaxation to unwind and release any lingering tension.
Misconceptions about yoga:
Myth: To practice yoga you have to be: flexible, thin, physically fit and young.
Reality: There are no rules, no expectations, and no judgments in yoga. Everyone can benefit from practicing yoga - regardless of their level of fitness, age and flexibility. With practice, yoga poses (asanas) actually help you to become more flexible and physically stronger. Poses work by safely stretching your muscles and increasing the range of motion in joints. Yoga stretches not only your muscles but all of the soft tissues of your body. That includes ligaments, tendons, and the fascia sheath that surrounds your muscles. No matter your level of yoga, you most likely will see benefits in a very short period of time. In one study, participants had up to 35% improvement in flexibility after only eight weeks of yoga.
Myth: I won't be able to keep up with the others in class.
Reality: Yoga is non-competitive. You may think many people are "better than you" at yoga, but don't let these negative thoughts deter you. It's important not to compare yourself to the person next to you. Some people are naturally more flexible. So be forgiving with your body and know that flexibility comes with repetition.

Are Overweight People Lazy?

Are You overweight? Believe it or not, when you were born, your parents did not get to choose your size. Your parents didn't get to choose your sex, hair color or any other physical characteristic that makes you ....you. They didn't choose your weight either, or your bone structure. They just couldn't take over that job; it was hard enough bringing you into the world.
Being overweight seems to be a pre-determined fate for so many Americans. An estimated 64% of Americans are considered overweight. That equates to over 125 million people that are overweight and need to loose weight. Or you can call a spade a spade, which equates to over 125 million FAT Americans, which also means that there are a lot of very unattractive Americans.
Supposedly having too much body weight has been the result of you being lazy, unhealthy, unhappy, selfish, greedy, and unattractive. NO, it hasn't been the result of any of those reasons! Overweight Americans are often some of the most tenacious career-conscious individuals. They are overworked and often fall into weight problems because they are working long hours, without enough rest and exercise! Approximately ½ of the other 36% of thinner adults choose to condemn those Americans who aren't as fortunate to have a fast metabolism and the luxury of time to exercise. These very adults have the time, because they also find the time to ridicule the other 64% of the population that need to lose a few pounds.
This all may sound a bit harsh, but suck it up! The slogan 'Thin is in and Fat is Out' needs to go right back out the door with the aerobics instructor that brought it in. Sure, if you have a weight problem, you know you have a weight problem. It is not something you don't have the intelligence to see. See Barbie, while you were on the beach with Ken, the fat chics were getting an education! Being overweight is still considered one of the biggest sins someone can do to their own bodies , but what about the people out there with true medical problems that prevent them from being thin.? They still fall into the thin person's stereotype of a FAT LAZY person? The sad truth is that people who are exceptionally overweight allow others to ridicule them about their weight. The misconceptions that people who are overweight won't work, are overall lazy people, unhappy, unattractive is a load of bull.
Just take a look around you; Some of the most beautiful women in the world are either overweight now or have been at some time in their life. LOOK AT OPRAH! She is gorgeous, but she wasn't always the size she is now, but she was still a pretty happy woman, not to mention a huge success. If you look in the "heftier women magazines" you will find more beautiful women than what you find on the runways of New York, it's a fact.
Whether we want to hear it or not, the fact is that "grown-ups" still act like children to get ahead in life. It really is the "take the camera off of me and point it over there at someone else" approach. Think of your girlfriends. You likely have one in the bunch that is as cute and prissy as can be, but whenever she isn't getting the attention from the opposite sex, she will inevitably draw attention to your weight. Don't pay it a second thought and here's why. Even though you could get into a dirt throwing contest and bring out all of her faults, (for example that she really wears a lot of make-up because she needs it!) there's no point because it really doesn't matter. So you might be overweight, big deal, you are a beautiful person inside and out. Can anyone thin top that?

Don't Convince Yourself You Earned An Unhealthy Meal Just Because You Worked Out

When I first started exercising in order to get in shape, I had a terrible time gaining control over my food choices. I did start to get regular exercise in the form of running with my dog around the neighborhood, or playing tennis a couple times a week, but I was still eating a lot of fast food and snacking on unhealthy items like potato chips and cookies.
After a couple weeks when I got back on the scale, I was shocked when my weight hadn't moved a bit. I felt like I was in better shape, and even though I thought I looked a little better in the mirror, but the scale does not lie. Even with my regular workouts, since my food options continued to be unhealthy, my weight was not improving.
This is what usually happened, when I first started working out, on the way home from the tennis courts, or while I was showering after running, I would convince myself that since I worked out, I earned the right to get a double bacon cheeseburger, a XL breakfast burrito, or something else along those lines.
My thinking was "Well, you worked out Greg so you can eat whatever you want now!". However as you can see, even with my regular workouts, I was not losing the weight I wanted so I needed to revise my thinking and my game plan.
I was determined to be successful losing weight this time, so I started to focus on the choices I made for my meals. I found that when I took the time to plan out what I was going to eat and start cooking and preparing my food I did much better when it came to making wise choices for my meals.
This really helped keep me eating in a healthy manner and also helped keep me from stopping at the local fast food spots to pick up a meal that was far too fattening and not conducive to a healthy life. Knowing exactly what I was going to cook/prepare helped keep the temptation to eat unhealthy to a minimum.
The next time you are in a similar predicament, don't convince yourself that just because you exercised you now have the right to eat whatever you want. This is not the mentality you want to have since it will hold you back from truly achieving your goal. Instead, after you are done working out, try and focus on healthy food and drink options for the remainder of the day.
You will find that if you continually maintain this type of control and restraint, you will lose weight each and every week and in turn be more inspired to continue onward striving to achieve your overall goal.

Prenatal Yoga - What To Expect

You really want to give yoga a try, but quite frankly you've never done it before - and you're not quite sure what to expect. Not to worry. Pregnancy is a great time to give yoga a try. You'll be in a room full of other pregnant women and chances are some of them are new to yoga too. Read on so you know what to expect from your first class.
The heart of yoga involves your breathing.Yes, I know you believe you know how to breathe, but have you ever really paid attention to it? For centuries, yoga asana has been considered a form of moving meditation, so it's not surprising that you'll be paying particular attention to your breath. If you've never done this before, your instructor will have you breathing through your nose while you gently contract the back of your throat-the glottis. It sounds a bit like Darth Vader breathingbut the point is for you to aware of your breathing throughout the class. In addition, this attention to breath will also help you manage your contractions during labor. The heart of relaxation in labor is also the breath.
Prenatal yoga classes will have stretching, breathing, and some challenging poses, followed by relaxation. All positions and stretches prepare your body for the daily changes and challenges of pregnancy, and the intensity of labor and birth. You'll be moving various parts of your body, even your neck and arms, through various ranges of motion. While you stretch you may not even realize anything is happening. You'll feel yourself working hard, and as you pause, you'll feel the effects of hard work, and endorphins surging through your veins. When you step away from the class, you'll almost immediately be feeling remarkably better overall. Don't be surprised if you even sleep better after a class. You'll notice that aching back feels a lot better too. Yoga improves flexibility, balance, and strength. It reduces stress, and can help prepare your mind and body for a time of quiet reflection, prayer, or meditation. it's a chance to turn inward, and that's what you have to do in labor.
Finally, the last portion of the class involves relaxation, known as Savasana. This may take different forms depending on your instructor. This is a time to lie down, and let go, both physically and mentally. Empty your mind.
Some teachers may encourage you to become aware of nothing else but your breathing. Others may lead you through a type of short mindful meditation, asking you to be fully aware of the sensations in your body, while you lie down on your mat. Some may even have you do a short mantra-based meditation, while seated, in which you focus on a meaningful word. Whatever form this relaxation portion of the class takes, it's intended to produce a calmness and serenity within you and by extension bring that serenity to your baby.
When you're pregnant, yoga works on many levels for you. From easing the pain and discomfort that naturally accompanies pregnancy, to making you more flexible in what may be a new physical experience, helping to calm you and prepare you for labor, yoga does it all. So what are you waiting for?

Get Rid Of Winter Blues With Hot Yoga

For some, winter is a time for exhilarating outdoor sports or snuggling in front of a warm fireplace, but for others, the combination of dark dreary skies and cold brisk air can instantly make a person feel low. If you're not fond of either winter sports or lying down with a cup of warm chocolate on your hand, you may want to find some other ways to beat the winter blues. And one great idea that you can't say no to is hot yoga.
Hot yoga is practically like the yoga that you've always known. The only difference is this one is done inside the comforts of a heated room. It's the perfect antidote for the cold winter season, giving you the warmth you need and the fitness workout your body requires to stay in shape. It does wonders for people's health-alleviating symptoms of chronic pain, normalizing blood pressure levels, alleviating arthritis, and of course, preventing depression and boosting the mood.
Now, before you rush out to the nearest yoga center in your vicinity, here are some practical tips to keep in mind so that you'll have an awesome and safe experience.
Wear the right outfit
Don't head to the class wearing a pair of Capri pants. Make sure that you don warm layers over your yoga outfit to get the best results. Remember that a warm body is at less risk of injury than a cold one.
Get to the class early
This is especially true for those who live in very cold climates. Get there at least 10 minutes earlier than the scheduled time of the class so you'll have plenty of time to sit in the hot room. This is necessary for warming up the muscles. As you know, warm ups are very important during workout as they prepare the muscles to minimize injuries. For a quicker warm up, do a few sun salutation poses.
Use your own yoga mat
It's never a good idea to borrow a gym mat. You don't know when the last time it was washed was and what kind of germs you can acquire from it. At the same time, you should not let others borrow yours. It's not that you're being selfish, you're just being hygienic and careful.
Don't forget to bring extra clothes
Bring extra clothes and change right after the hot yoga session. Don't stay in your damp yoga clothes. When you step out in the cold air wearing a damp outfit, it can weaken your immune system and make you more prone to health problems.
Stay hydrated
See to it that you bring enough water with you to the class. You'll be sweating a lot and you need to replenish lost liquids in your body. Bring a bottle or two of water.
Prepare yourself for the hot temperature
Warmth is a welcome commodity during winter. But when you step inside a hot yoga class, you might think that it's too hot for comfort. Don't worry, you'll get used to it. Expect the temperature to be about 100 degrees. It's why it's called hot yoga and not warm yoga, right? Find a spot in the room, sit down and wait until your body acclimates to the temperature.
Hot yoga will do so much for you and your body. It's a wonderful activity to do in the winter.

Perform Yoga To Gain Height

Yoga is a form of exercise that not only makes the body of a person flexible but also keeps his internal organs healthy. Yoga is just perfect, be it for getting a fresh and peaceful mind or for having a healthy body, and the best part is, it does not have any side effects like most medicines. Doctors have proved that yoga helps in solving digestion problems and also eases back pain. In fact, there are many yogis who say that if a person performs yoga regularly then his body would release growth hormone that would enable the person to grow taller. Now the human growth hormone is a natural phenomenon that is mainly controlled by the pituitary gland.
This hormone reaches its peak when the person is in his childhood days and it starts to slow down as he reaches his adolescence and then becomes an adult. The human growth hormone helps the person to grow taller quickly. If you notice carefully then you will see that there are some people who are extremely tall. This happens due to the over secretion of growth hormone by the pituitary gland. On the other hand, we can find people who are called dwarfs. In the case of such people there is an under secretion of the growth hormone and as a result they do not attain the normal height as they should.
If you want to grow taller naturally then it is important that you perform yoga on a daily basis. Here are some of the advantages of performing yoga for growing taller.
  • First of all, the asanas that you will be performing will help to lengthen the muscles of your body especially the growth muscles. While performing such asanas you must take care of the posture of your body and the breathing technique that you follow.

  • Secondly, apart from helping you to grow taller yoga would also keep you relaxed and calm. Many people do yoga for anger management.

  • Since the growth hormones will be triggered by the pituitary glands there would not be any kind of metabolic malfunctioning which normally happens when you try to take medicines for the purpose of growing taller.

  • When you perform particular asanas for growing tall you must make sure that you go to sleep early at night because the pituitary gland secretes the human growth hormone at night. So it is better that you do your job and leave the rest to the pituitary glands at night.

Easy Things to Do Outside of the Dieting Inner Circles

Several months ago I started on a diet that changed my world both physically and mentally it was called the herbalife advantage program.
I did not know it then but looking back on that experience changed the way that I think about weight loss.
Many people think that when you start a diet that it's all about looking good and getting in the shape you've always wanted but for me it was different; I started the diet because I literally felt like crap all the time.
You see I've had a fast metabolism all my life and could always really just eat what I wanted and never gain weight but then my bad eating habits started to catch up with me I realized that diets aren't just about losing weight; they are about being healthy, and sleeping better, and having more energy to do the things you want to do.
And so the physical reason for my dieting became about my friends, and my family, and my involvement in the community; In truth my physical reason for dieting became focused not on myself but on how I affected the people around me and I realized that a diet change was necessary for me to be in their lives for very long.
And so this is what I did to make myself more active.
First I made a status on my Facebook to say that I was going to be more active; It sounds so simple but it's probably the most important step because then the whole world would hold me accountable to my statement or at least my small group of friends would. And the great thing is that they not only held me accountable but also encouraged me to do what I said I would do.
The next step was to get involved in my community this was probably the hardest step mainly because my community is so small and also because they aren't very active either so I had to get out of my little town and start going to neighboring cities to be involved and volunteering all the while trying to be more healthy in my own eating habits, and also in my activities.
Step Three; The Personal Statement.
The last step I made was to make a private proclamation to myself that I would be healthier and to do this I used notepad on my laptop computer to make over thirty copies of a page that said in the biggest font I could write "I Will Be Healthy" and I taped it on every wall in my house simply because when I was at home I was the weakest, and I needed that reminder keeping me on track everywhere I went.

These three steps are your personal key not only to losing weight, but to do anything you want to do. Dieting is not the answer and being active is not the answer either, but one healthy balanced diet plus an active life almost always equals weight loss and incredible energy and in addition it will put your energy to good use.
Stop dieting and start living healthy and you won't regret it.
Step outside your comfort zone and become healthy and active. If you ever need a friend or some help along the way then get a complimentary weight loss coach to help you out with your daily struggles at http://www.IkesNutrition.com.

To Diet or not to Diet, That Should Be The Question!

Diet information is everywhere. In advertisements, on TV, in magazines; the bookstores are crammed with books on many different diet options - The South Beach Diet, The Atkins Diet, Weight Watchers, The Cabbage Soup Diet. The message is 'you should think about your weight'. If you aren't already thinking about dieting, you will be before long.
Most of the clients that come to see me want to lose weight. They have typically tried out a few diet options, but still haven't achieved what they are looking for.The big question is what are they looking for?
It all starts off with that glance in the mirror. What we see staring back at us is often an image we don't like or at least we don't rave about. The instant reaction too often can be - 'I need to go on a diet'.
You don't like the package, so you need to alter it in some way. But the truth is that often it is the 'packaging' that is distorting the picture - distorting our image of ourselves and not you (the package).
Consider this: Everything about you is perfect as it is, and has a purpose. Your shape, your height, your size, your hair colour, your eye colour, the shape of your features, and the size of your knees - they all combine to create you. Having a negative personal image can lead to weight gain or weight loss. Most eating disorders occur as a result of a negative body image.
Your packaging - or your style and your way of dress - has a huge impact on your personal image - how you see yourself, how much you like the way you look and ...how large or small you look.
Just imagine how you feel when you are presented with a gift that is packaged with the fanciest ribbon, shiniest paper and with care and attention. In fact, it almost doesn't matter what is inside the package! It is the same for you, your packaging has an impact on yourself - how you feel about yourself, your confidence levels, and how others treat you.
So before you go on a diet, please consider the following:
Are you wearing clothes that don't fit you?
Squeezing into an item of clothing is just plain unflattering and although you think you can stay in denial of your true size, every other person that passes you in the street will notice that you are squeezing in. You will only draw more attention which can make you feel more sensitive about how you look.
More importantly wearing clothes that are bigger than you or too small for you will make you look bigger.
Tips
Go through your wardrobe and clear out all items that don't fit you. Be ruthless! You don't have to throw them away. But putting them in another area - like the top shelf - so they are out of visibility will ensure you a) don't wear them and b) you don't reinforce your negative concerns each time you wear them!
Cut out the size tags. This will take your mind off what size you are wearing, and hopefully you will forget all together and start enjoying what you wear
And of course buy clothes that fit! You think that's just common sense? Well it is one of the biggest wardrobe mistakes that people can make!
Are you wearing clothes that suit your body shape?

Wearing the wrong shape clothes can add pounds. A square shaped t-shirt in structured cotton will cut off any curves you have, either roll up to expose your stomach or make your torso look like a square box. Oh no! However that is what we can mistakenly go for. The same goes for a pair of jeans - a key item in all our wardrobes. They are often cut to fit a squarer body shape.
Tips
Jeans for a curved hipline - drop the waistline but ensure you have a larger waistband, and/or no back pockets. Also, opt for jeans with stretch. This will follow your natural contours better. For men: go for jeans with a pleat around the waistband to accommodate a softer belly line.
Jeans for a narrow hipline - most jeans look a dream on you, but ensure you opt for structure. Stretch could make you look like you have puppy fat.
T-shirts for a curve - use softer fabrics with drape and soft stretch that have a curve in the cut. Avoid front pockets, too high a neckline, square short sleeves. Instead, feminine touches - flowers, soft textures and chiffon, depending on your style. For men: go for softer fabrics.

T-shirts for angles - use structured fabrics, stripes and lines, boyish cuts, and heavier stretch. You can do pockets and sheer looks.
Are you investing in yourself?
If you are having concerns about your weight then you may have put a stop on your wardrobe spending 'until you lose weight'. This is just plain unfair on yourself. It can only lead to you feeling more miserable if you are living in three outfits and haven't got anything you feel really good in. You may feel it will force you to take your diet wishes seriously, but again is dieting what you need, or what anyone needs for that matter?
Tips
Go out now and buy yourself something that you feel really good in, that suits you, that is perhaps an extravagance and that looks slightly sexy or suave. Regardless of whether you have been starving your wardrobe. This doesn't require emptying your wallet. The action in itself, spending some quality time for you to value yourself, will improve your spirits.
For women: Go out and buy some new make-up. A fresh gloss for the lips - natural or bright - whatever is your preference, and a shimmer or rouge for the cheeks. Invest in good mascara and some colour or base for the eyes.
For men: invest in a new shampoo, a facial lotion and an upgrade your shaving system.

Consider this: You don't need to lose weight. But you do want to be healthy and have a positive self-image. If you achieve the latter, your own appearance and weight will find its natural way.
Being healthy is mostly achieved by finding balance. Balance between the stress in your life and the peace you have; a balance between your nutrients and your addictions; a balance between being active and being passive. You also want to be well.
With the amount of toxins we have in our foods and environment and the amount of pressure we have living in the Noughties, your health is very important. Dieting can be unhealthy. What is healthy is loving yourself for how you are, appreciating that as you age your body will change, and that a healthy self-image is far more important than whether you can fit into a size 2. In fact, that is quite dangerous.
Dieting can be a quick fix - you see some results so you feel like you have dealt with the problem. But if you are not happy with your own personal image, then weight loss or not, you will shortly be back in front of that mirror complaining about how you look again.
Sarah Whittaker runs her own Image Profiling business using her own unique typology of thirty-five Image Types. The Image Types are a reflection of your own 'blueprint' and help you to understand how to express your natural self and attract more of what you want.

Yoga In Brief

What is Yoga?
It is a Hindu spiritual discipline which includes the relaxation of the mind and body. It is an age old practice which is being followed centuries back by the religious practitioners. In Sanskrit Yoga means 'union' i.e. the union of the mind and body. Yoga is the real way to experience the spirituality of the mind, body and spirit. In Yoga the mind, body and spirit are fused to be one. It helps you to maintain a distance between various day to day tensions, struggles, sickness, etc. It helps you to relax after a tiresome day.
Yoga has its own benefits like it does not need to be always conducted by an expert. Even a normal individual can perform Yoga using a CD. There are many Yoga CD's available in the market.
What does one need while going for Yoga??
A person just needs a Yoga mat, a bottle of water, a clean towel, a comfortable fitting dress and a relaxed mind. Yoga mats should be of a good quality otherwise one will slip and break his bones. Good mats will give you better grip.
At first when you enter the Yoga center the instructor will first tell you to warm up. Warm up exercises can be breathing in and out deeply or will tell you to stretch your hands and legs slowly. Breathing exercises are an added advantage and can last for at least 10 minutes. And then the actual exercise starts. One should need to be focused and forget all the worldly desires and tensions while coming for Yoga.

When a person has completed all the levels of Yoga he can start a Yoga Workshop. He can set up a small room somewhere in his backyard or in the garden or anywhere where he feels it is comfortable for the instructor i.e. him and the yogis to relax without any disturbance. Yoga workshops can be conducted for different age groups like teens or the youth, pregnant ladies, elderly couples, etc. there can be separate Yoga Workshop for ladies and gents or at times there are combined as one.
Sometimes while travelling we tend to get severe back pains, neck pains, etc. Sitting for hours at your desk can give you severe back pains. Yoga can help you in many ways. One can get many Yoga Travel CD's in the market which can be kept handy whenever one travels for a longer distance.
Yoga Retreats are also held worldwide where one can attend Yoga classes on a mass scale. This is mainly done to attract people of all age groups to the importance of Yoga. Stress management is the main topic when one conducts a Yoga Retreat. While in a yoga retreat there is a 60 minute yoga session combined with a breakfast meal consisting of fruits and simple cuisine. Retreats also offer spa treatment and Ayurvedic treatments and consultations. Yoga Retreats have become a trend among people who travel in their daily life. 3 Common Mistakes Yoga Beginners Should Avoid

As beginners, we tend to explore what we do with curiosity and make mistakes along the way even if we start doing what we learnt. This is quite common since all beginners go through that stage. Having said that, here are 3 common mistakes all yoga beginners should avoid.
1. Not Knowing What You Want To Achieve From Yoga
Despite being a relaxing sport, Yoga is still a very broad spectrum in general.
Besides liking Yoga as what most beginners do, you need to know what you want to achieve and how to go about fulfilling your objectives. You also need to have a plan to enable and get where you want to go step by step.
But if you do not have a plan or any idea of where you want to go or what to do, it is best to have a professional instructor to help you instead of doing everything on your own.
They will first try to get to know you. Such as your personality, family background, hobbies and occupations. Then they will go about discussing with you your goals, aspirations, strengths and weaknesses before coming up with a plan that best suits you.
2. Jumping Into Yoga Without An Objective Or Plan
Although I have already mentioned in first point, I like to emphasize on this again.
If you do not have an objective or plan and just learning for fun, Yoga might not be suitable for you in the long run. The reason being should you encounter any problems or setbacks, you will give up eventually. That is the mindset of most humans when they are just doing something for fun without any real purpose in life.
Like everything else be it sports, martial arts or just driving, there is a process and learning curve you need to face and go through. I know it is not easy and can be demanding at most times but this is what eventually separate successful people from just wannabes.
Even though this is very common in classes, this will be beneficial to you and everyone learning Yoga in the long run. The only question is are you willing to do what it takes to master Yoga.
If you are, age and fitness will no longer be the deciding factors for you as you probably notice that most people are just like you whether they are old or young. The only difference is what works for some people might not work for anybody.
So you need an instructor to show you not just the right way but one which suits you best in terms of your fitness level and interest.
Besides learning, you get to know and make friends with them who are just as eager to learn Yoga as you.
Moreover the fees those classes charged are based on the sessions you actually attend rather than what you registered as a whole package at most schools.
Still as I said before, you need to have an objective and a plan before jumping into Yoga.
3. Selecting The Wrong Instructor
In the olden days, you need to be an apprentice starting from zero before you can ever become a master in Yoga.
But now most people prefer to learn Yoga over weekends due to their study and work commitments.
Besides the right schedule, finding the right instructor is just as essential.
Truth be told, a qualified instructor does not make a good instructor emotionally and an unqualified instructor does not make a bad instructor emotionally.
Still what really matters is that this instructor must know and have already succeeded in what he is teaching. The best way to find out this answer is not just from this instructor but from his or her students as well. For their answers - their truthful answers from their hearts - will be the deciding factor.
For the last thing you ever want is an instructor who does not know what he or she is doing.
Although Yoga is a great and relaxing sport, you need to avoid these three mistakes if you ever want to make your mark. Not just as a sport but as your passion as well.
