I've Got MY Whole Life Riding on This "Paleo Diet"

I was amazed at what I found when I read a recent scientific study. The very "Target" of study was the Paleo Diet. The results entail a barrage of Health benefits. Many benefits are of a growing need. Health Benefits such as, improved blood pressure, (which applied to me) at one time I was 190/100, SCARY! Combine that with a Cholesterol Score around 175. My Life hung in a very unpredictable balance.
Needless to say I have family who could gain from a healthy drop in natural insulin secretion, as well as an increase of insulin sensitivity.
And who doesn't want to lower body fat and have Clearer Skin?
So the question becomes, "How can the Paleo Diet directly benefit me"? Aside from eating whole foods high in fiber, low in salt what else is in it for me?
This is a look through the lens from the outside in to understand the mechanics of eating paleo, from a consumer point of view.
Suddenly the answer hit me like a sack of jackfruit. "Maybe I've found the solvent to my own personal Hypertension, and Cholesterol concerns". Have I hit the bulls-eye, or am I missing something?
I am not an expert Paleo Dietician. I am a social media user whom respects Paleo Practices. So what we have here is the sum of what my growing resources and studies are allowing me to display for you at this time. My goal is to help curious onlookers to get valid information from the right places.
Being an avid cyclist, I need lean proteins, natural sugars, fats starches and carbs in a certain Ratio. And the organic nature of hunter diet gatherer makes this nutrition so essential to my metabolism. Matter of fact, I find myself with leftover energy after I have tacked on the miles.
I am now in the habit of eating many small meals a say. So I hover around a diet of Tuna, Salmon, Halibut, Trout, Swordfish. Antibiotic free lean Steaks, Free Range Chicken, Lamb, Turkey and Eggs.
Through small changes in my eating habits suggested in the Paleo Cookbooks. I've been able to carve up some Body fat. Regulate my cholesterol. And Most importantly that Blood pressure number is now looking "Real" good due to some well made decisions.
So I know this could be the answer to a prayer for someone who was on the same road as I.

The Paleo Diet - An Old Approach in the Modern World

When it comes to diets you probably already heard of the millions of different fads that have come and gone. They all seem to have their fans and detractors, most of which come and go. Then they are repackaged and people start to try them out again before they give up because things get a bit too difficult to manage. If you are someone that is tired of all the different options out there, consider one more shot at losing weight and feeling great, start with The Paleo Diet and you will see greatness.
The core of this diet relies heavily on rethinking food and exercise as a whole. It forces you to see what made ancient human beings agile, fit, muscular and overall healthy. Compare that to the millions of people today and you'll realize that the majority of humans are not fit, they are not agile, and can barely run a mile without getting so tired they slump over in near defeat. If that sounds like something that describes what you're feeling, than you should definitely look into this plan that changes the way you eat, live, and thrive.
Eating food is not frowned upon with this plan; in fact, you are going to love food again in a new way. It starts with first getting rid of a large amount of what you're probably used to eating today. You will no longer be consuming large amounts of bread, processed foods and things that don't derive naturally. That means no more salty snacks; no more paragraph long boxed items, and much more. Before you scoff at the notion, you will not be hungry you will be eating natural things, things that taste amazing, and will love what you're eating.
The many different things that you can enjoy include meat (grass fed), fowl, fish, eggs, vegetables, oils (natural), fruits, nuts and tubers (sweet potatoes and yams). You can eat a great deal of the aforementioned, in fact many times, as much as you want with a few points to keep in mind, and you will not only have a great amount of energy, you will not mass the processed foods that you may have been used to previously. It's these naturally occurring things that your body will be able to use and digest far easier and within a month's span of time you will feel amazing.
Now, there is one caveat that most people are not going to love hearing, and that this diet works best with a great deal of exercise. You have to move your body, and if you're used to sitting a lot for work or for fun, you need to make sure that you find a great deal of motivation to exercise. Whether you are running, hitting the gym, cycling, or anything else, you need to find things that will get your body into motion on a regular basis. You may be able to lose initially with the plan without this step, but to get lean, gain muscle, and be ultimately fit you'll need to make sure that you are moving.

Diet Soda Myths Exposed So You Can Lose Weight Effectively

Myth #1: Diet Sodas Help with Weight Loss
Many people out there drink diet sodas because they believe it is a healthier option and I respect the fact they are trying to lead a more healthy lifestyle. The fact is that all of these products are detrimental to one's health. With that being said it is not the consumer's fault. Soda companies have been lying for years about the so-called benefits of their product.
It is simply a marketing strategy to get a larger consumer base and ultimately more money out of us, the general public.
If you want to lose weight the best thing to drink is water followed by, and there is a vast margin between the two, fruit or vegetable juice. Drinking diet soda is not even on the map in this discussion, it will not aid in weight loss in fact it has been shown in studies to cause health problems not health solutions.
Myth #2: Diet Sodas are Good for You
Recent studies have shown that diet sodas are more likely to cause type two diabetes in people who consume them on a daily basis. This is an awful result for all of us who are trying to be health conscious.
We all know that type two diabetes can lead to type 1 diabetes over time and then you really have a problem because that is a very serious medical condition that can cause a myriad of health problems including shortening a person's lifespan.
Artificial sweeteners, used as an ingredient of these products, is also a major cause for concern.
Myth #3: The Ingredients Used are Better than What is in Regular Soda
This is the biggest one in my opinion and it is simply not true. One of the ingredients used as a substitute for sugar is aspartame. I don't know if you have ever heard of aspartame but if you drink diet sodas you really should educate yourself about this harmful substance.
Aspartame has been known to cause over 80 different medical conditions, some as minor as diarrhea, and even more serious conditions such as epileptic seizures. Most people have some kind of reaction to aspartame the question is to what degree and what are the long-term consequences.
I really hope this article has opened your eyes and raised your awareness about the dangers of diet soda. My hope is that diet sodas become extinct because people stop buying them. This is a serious problem that detracts from the good health of an individual.

Reviews of Phen375 - The Most Effective Fat Burning Diet Pills

People are trying endlessly to achieve their ideal weight. They are exercising, dieting, fasting, and taking products to help them lose that excess weight. But in these modern days, where people have almost no time to exercise, have no motivation to diet, or fasting, they turn to products that will help them lose that excess weight. Among the products that give promises to lose weight, fast, Phen375 has stood out as the most sought after product that will help people lose weight, or fat, fast.
Phen375, which stands for Phentemine375, is a diet pill and appetite suppressant product. This product has become a huge favorite product for those who want to shed fat fast. The product gives a very convincing promise. It gives guarantee that people who consume it will lose 20 lbs in just 6 weeks. That's very convincing, isn't it?
Why does the product give such very convincing promise? Phen375 has long been recognized as the most powerful appetite suppressant and fat burning pills. Phen375 also acts as a fat burner. It accelerates metabolism in order to release fat stored in muscles, which is called 'burning fat'.
The product releases fat that is stored in muscles, and then it will flow into the blood stream to be used as energy. The pill also suppresses craving which has become the main cause of a fail diet, which happens to almost everyone who wants to lose weight by dieting. This two attributes have made the product very popular, also since the official website of Phen375 posts testimonials from a lot of people who have succeeded in their diet program using Phen375.
Phen375 contains ingredients in a correct proportion to give effect desired by people having diet. There are seven ingredients in a single pill that create remarkable formula and give superb effect; calcium (carbonate) grain, l-carnitine (l-tartrate)(carnipure TM), citrus aurantium, caffeine powder anhydrous, longjack tongkat ali root (eurycoma), cayenne(capsicum), and chromium (picolinate).
Each of these ingredients has been known as the most element used in most diet product. Now Phen375 has invented a superb formula to make the most out of each of those elements to give the most effect desired by people who seek for the fastest and safest result.
In order to lose weight fast, after taking this Phen375 pill, the first thing to consider is the daily intake of food. Experts always say to control the intake of carbohydrate, and fat (red/dark meat), to add the consumption of fiber; vegetables and fruits, and to avoid excessive consumption of sugar/sweets.
Those are the hardest thing for people when they want to lose weight. But with Phen375 those thing will not matter. It will act as appetite suppression. Hunger will not be as bad as before taking the pills. A lot of testimonials can be found in Phen375.com, the official web site.
Exercising is the next thing that comes into consideration. It doesn't always mean a rigorous exercise; just an exercise to make sure the blood circulation in the body flows well. But if one does his/her regular rigorous exercise, it will not matter either. It will just stimulate the effect of Phen375.
So the result of taking Phen375 is up to the consumers, whether they want a fast result, or just take it leisurely. Just do daily activities and let Phen375 do the rest.

How Many Calories Should You Eat To Lose Weight?

If you want to lose weight it would make sense to know how many calories you need to consume just to maintain your weight. But how can we figure this out?
That's where your Basal Metabolic Rate or BMR steps in. Your BMR is the number of calories you would burn if you just sat on the sofa all day. If you know how many calories you burn just living, you will be able to calculate how many calories you need per day in order to maintain or adjust your body weight.
Make sense?
If you're eating clean and steering clear of booze, then you might not need to track your calories. However, if the scales or more importantly (in my book) your measurements are going down you may need to look at your calories in more detail, so that we can see exactly what is going on.
Once you have your BMR, you can use the equations below to multiply your BMR depending on your level of activity. This will give you a better understanding of the total calories you need to maintain your current weight.
Sedentary (very little or no exercise) = BMR x 1.2
Lightly Active (1-3 days/week of light exercise) = BMR x 1.375 (casually fit)
Moderately Active (3-5 days/week of moderate exercise) = BRM x 1.55 (team sports, frequent gym visitor)
Very Active (6-7 days/week of hard exercise) = BMR x 1.725 (semi-pro athlete, amateur body builder)
Extra Active (very hard exercising, physical job, or two-a-day training) = BMR x 1.9 (professional athlete, body builder)
Here's my example:
My BMR is 1922.59.
My activity factor is 1.55 as I am moderately active. 1922.59 x 1.55 = 2980.
2980 would be the amount of calories I would need each day in order to maintain my 185lbs (84kg/13 stone 2lbs) of body weight at my current activity level.
If you're unsure about your own current activity level I would perhaps look at calculating your maintenance calories based on a sedentary lifestyle or being lightly active. This will give you a base to work from and see to it that you're not over consuming calories. I'm assuming that the goal here is to burn excess lard, but if you're more concerned about maintaining your weight then, of course you'll want to know exactly how many calories you need with your current activity level.
Obviously this is a rough estimate, as it doesn't take into account muscle, body fat or bone density and should therefore be used as a guideline. However, it does give us a good basic idea of the calories needed to maintain our body weight at our current pace of life. From here we can then assess our actual calorie intake against our 'maintenance' level and adjust our intake accordingly.
I often see people lose weight earlier on when they start to exercise and sort out their diet, but as they progress they fail to reduce their calories for their new weight.

An Unlikely Salad: Strawberries and Cucumber!

One of the more surprising salad combinations is strawberries and cucumbers. Sounds like a strange mix, doesn't it? Who would have thought such a combination would work fantastic together. Top that combo with almonds and some honey, and you're bound to make an impression on your guests. If you're looking for an unusual salad that tastes delicious yet is inexpensive and easy to make, look no further.
The total preparation time for this type of salad is no more than thirty minutes. The ingredients listed are the ideal amount for a party of four; increase or decrease as you see fit.
We'll start with 2 large cucumbers. First, peel them. Next, slice them directly down the middle into two halves, and then use a spoon and scrape out the seeds (try to scrape evenly so the cucumber half maintains a uniform appearance). The final step for the cucumbers is to cut the halves into medium-thick slices. Set these aside in a large bowl.
The next step is to trim and wash 8 ounces of strawberries. Make sure to use fresh strawberries (no bruised strawberries allowed!). Cut each strawberry into thin slices and add the slices to the bowl of cucumbers.
In a small bowl, whisk together the salad dressing ingredients: 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of honey, and 2 teaspoons of balsamic vinegar. Pour the dressing over the strawberries and cucumbers. Let sit.
In a small skillet set to medium heat, pour out the almonds and heat them for about 5 minutes. You'll need to either stir them or shake the pan to prevent them from burning. Important: do not add oil to the skillet! Heat the almonds in a dry pan. When the almonds are browned evenly, remove skillet from heat.
When it comes to eating food, second only to taste is aesthetic appearance. While we could simply pour the salad into small bowls, a much better way to showcase this enjoyable salad is to serve inside lettuce leaves. Rinse and peel Romaine lettuce leaves and use them to line the inside of salad bowls. Next, pour the cucumber and strawberry salad into each bowl. Finally, top them off with the browned almonds, and then sprinkle the mint leaves over each salad. Salt and pepper to taste, and enjoy!
This is a great salad that is quick to make and leaves a nice impression on your guests.
2 large cucumbers
1 / 3 of a cup of slivered almonds
1 small bunch of fresh mint
8 ounces of fresh strawberries
1 tablespoon of olive oil
2 tablespoons of honey
2 teaspoons of balsamic vinegar
1 head of Romaine lettuce

Smart Eating And Weight Loss

The pounds have piled up; the pants are getting too tight. It is high time to start losing off the extra weight. Planning right from the beginning makes it easier to succeed in your weight loss plans.
Keep track of what you eat and the type of exercise you do every single day. Write everything down in your journal. This gets things organized and you will be better motivated to continue on.
Cooking your own meals let you have total control over what to put into your body. No more extra oily, salty or sweet food from cafes and restaurants to tempt you and make you stray from your diet. Get some good cookbooks promoting healthy weight loss recipes, some basic cookware and you are well on your way to healthy cooking. You might be pleasantly surprised at the results.
When shopping for groceries, be sure to check the calories count and list of ingredients listed on the food packages. Do not be misled by advertisements such as natural, sugar-free and non-fried. Look at the fine prints. Every little bit counts towards your weight loss goals.
Eat smaller portions at each meal. Invest in smaller size plates to make sure you are not tempted to eat more. Less food on a bigger plate might give you the impression that you are not eating enough and end up taking more food. Just make sure you are having well-balanced meals, even though smaller portions.
The occasional deviation from your diet is no big deal. Being too strict might lead to stress and this is not good for your weight loss plans. You might get so frustrated and just give up. Stress can also lead to binge eating.
Sticking to the same old food day in and day out can be boring and uninspiring. Try healthy food from around the world right at home. Some of them can be easy to cook in your home kitchen.
Eating your main meals in front of the TV, work table or computer screen is a typical bad habit among some of us. It is difficult to be eating healthily this way and besides it is bad for your digestion. If you must be munching on some food while working, munch on carrot sticks instead.
Poor food choices, unhealthy snacks and too much fast and processed food not only lead to an expanding waistline but also clogged arteries. Taking control of the way you eat can lead to positive weight loss and a healthy body.
Do visit the site http://bestcookwareset.org and get these beautiful safe cookware as companions in your healthy weight loss diet plans.

The Vital Components to Build Muscles Fast

Would you like to build muscles fast? Are you sick and tired of not experiencing noticeable lean muscle gains after sweating it out at the health club everyday? Is your dollars getting lost on dietary supplements which do not live up to their promises to bulk you up quickly?
In case you have responded yes to all these questions, you've found yourself in the right place. It is easy to get results fast and without burning a hole in your pocket. The only thing that is necessary is some true knowledge on muscle growth and common-sense.
High intensity is a must.
When you wish to build muscles fast you need to do super-intense routines. Your gym workout routines must make you sweat, and you also must optimize your time spent at the health club by making every moment effective. These intense routines put the body into a state of shock, and it begins adapting and reacting to the tension, which consequently allows you build muscles fast.
Protein is the building block of muscle tissue.
Keep a check on your current protein consumption, making sure you're getting enough of it in your daily diet. Proteins build muscle mass, and you'll be unable to build muscles fast unless you take in enough proteins each day.
Be sincere to your eating plan.
You might weaken your ability to grow muscles if you consistently consume food that's filled with empty calories. So get your calories from healthful resources. Calories are required to increase strength and stamina and to get results fast.
Stay well hydrated.
Do you know that 70 percent of the muscle is comprised of water? You must consume a lot of water. The important ingredient in any lifters diet plan is water. You should consume no less than 0.6 ounces of water for every single pound of bodyweight, everyday.
Get adequate rest.
The gym is not the place you build muscle mass. Your training session only breaks down the muscles tissue. Your actual muscle development process starts after the work out stops. Taking sufficient rest between workouts is vital if you want to build muscles fast. You need to avoid training everyday if you want to build muscles fast.
Get sufficient sleep.
In addition, you ought to have enough sleep at night as well as taking enough rest. To build muscles fast, it is suggested that you sleep for around eight hours every night. Insufficient sleep lowers your body's testosterone and growth hormone levels. Lack of sufficient sleep is going to reduce the intensity with which you work out and in addition make it difficult for you to adhere to your diet program. Good sleep raises your body's fat burning potential, helping you to have that ripped appearance that we all want and to build muscles fast.

Weight Loss Pills - How Do They Compare to Other Methods of Losing Weight?

While we always want to look our best, it's unfortunately impractical to be constantly getting pampered and having new haircuts which means we can only average out at a 'very good' level. Sometimes though we really do need to look as good as we can, whether it's for a wedding or for some other kind of occasion. Here we will look at how to look your very best for an event when you have some time to prepare.
Go to a Spa
Going to a spa can help you to look your best in a number of ways. Not only will going to a spa help you to feel relaxed and at ease (which people will be able to tell), but it will also help you to directly improve your skin and give you a healthy looking glow that you can only really get from having a proper facial and some time in a sauna. At the same time, some spas will also offer other beauty treatments such as pedicures and facials and these can further help to give you a complete look. And for women going to a spa will also force you to shave and wax - even if people don't see this you'll feel sexier and that will come across.
Makeup
For women the way you do your makeup will make a huge difference to how you look and feel. If you want to look your best then consider going to a makeup class where they can teach you the best colours to work with your skin tone - you might even be able to get your makeup done for free if you buy a few products from an apartment store. Otherwise, just go shopping and buy some products you really like and that are a higher standard than you might normally use.
Diet
If you have a week that's enough time to cut out a little water weight and to lose a pound or two to look even healthier. Don't starve yourself, but try to eat healthily and avoid excess calories and people might be able to notice a subtle difference in your face. Of course if you have a month or two then you can go further with this and really look much better as a result. Toning your body can also make a big difference.
Haircut
Getting a haircut shortly before the big occasion is one of the most important ways to make sure that you look as presentable as possible. Again you might want to try something different here - so ask your hair dresser if they have any advice. Don't cut too much off when experimenting though as it leaves you with no way to go back if you don't like it.
Clothes
For your clothes you have the option of going for your best outfit that you keep for such occasions, or of choosing something completely new. Either way, spend the week ahead trying out different outfits and shopping around for inspiration.

How to Stay Fit After Pregnancy/Delivery

Pregnancy is the most beautiful time in a woman's life. She is pampered and loved to such an extent that she starts loving each and every moment of it. The very feeling of giving birth to a new life keeps a woman in high spirits. There is no way to think about fitness and shape during this time that most women start bothering about their appearance and fitness after the delivery. Here are some tips to stay fit after pregnancy.
Practice yoga. This helps improve balance which is affected by changes in body weight during pregnancy. Yoga is also an effective technique to soothe body aches and joint pain. There are yoga and fitness centres that teach yoga for new mothers.
Exercise on a regular basis. 25-30 minutes work-out a day is helpful. Early morning exercises are more effective as you are fresh and energetic in the early hours. Apart from regular exercise, maintain a healthy and nutritious diet.
Do not go on complete dieting as you are eager to lose weight. This will have an adverse affect on your body. Include green vegetables and fresh fruits. Make sure your daily diet is enriched with needed minerals and vitamins. Use a weight calculator to know the ideal weight you should have.
Breast feed your baby as the doctor advises. Some people have a misconception that breastfeeding distorts the body shape. This is wrong. Breastfeeding helps the mother burn high amount of calories which helps in gradually reducing weight.
Every new mom complaints of their flabby tummy after pregnancy. Do sit-ups on a regular basis. Lie on your stomach as much as you can. Use stairs instead of lifts. Ball crunch exercise is also beneficial to get rid of the bulging tummy. To do this, lie down on your back and keep your body suspended over a large blown up ball. Clasp your hands behind your head and take normal breathing. Perform this for 10-15 minutes every day for speedy results.
Love your body as much as you love your baby. Know that you need a sound mind and body during and after pregnancy to look after your baby properly. Stay fit!

7 Tips for Healthy Eating at Office

Our workplace is where we spend most of our waking hours. For many it is like a second home as we spend a good part of our day there. To lead a healthy life style, you need to eat healthy whether you are at home or in office. When you work more than eight hours a day, it becomes difficult to eat healthy if you do not plan ahead. Here are a few tips that you can implement straight away to start eating healthy at work.
Healthy Eating Style at the Office
  1. Sleep well at night - This may seem a bit out of place in this article. If you are not well rested, you will not eat well and will feel sluggish. Not only that if you have not slept well, you are likely to reach out for numerous cups of coffee to keep your energy levels up.

  2. Never ever Skip your Breakfast- After fasting for 8 hours the body requires the energy to function the whole day. Therefore, eat some breakfast. Go for protein like egg rather than the carbs such as cereals. Protein will fill your stomach therefore less cravings later in the day. If you're in a hurry, have a healthy milk shake of protein powder, banana slices, water or milk and a handful of berries.

  3. Carry food with you - It goes without saying that homemade food is always better than the store-bought lunches in terms of taste and cost. Even a sandwich and a salad carried from home is healthier than the ones bought from a deli. A simple lunch of natural yoghurt, fruits and nuts is healthier than the greasy food bought from the fast food joints.

  4. Cut down on your drinks - Consumption of beverages such as coke, tea or coffee along with cookies or cakes is bad for your health. The best solution is cut back on the tea and coffee consumption. Drink plenty of water. Fruit juices are good provided they are fresh and without sugar. Sipping green tea is not only healthy but also relieves stress.

  5. Don't stray away from your diet plans - This is easier said than done. You can always say no to the donut that is being passed around, if you are carrying your healthy snack. Stop buying sugary junk. This is one way to avoid eating them. If your work involves frequent meetings, carry with you a fruit or some nuts and a bottle of water. This way you can avoid the unhealthy snacks such as biscuits, cakes or other high-calorie goodies.

  6. Be prepared for late nights - If your work type is such that you may not reach home before 8pm most of the days be prepared. Remember, by the time you get home you're tired and worn out all that you want to do is eating anything and stretch your self. Either wake up early in the morning or make some extra food the previous night. Take the food with you and leave it in the office refrigerator to consume it in evening. This way you need not starve in the evenings.

  7. Eat slowly - Consider using the dining room instead of sitting in front of the computer. The brain and the stomach will sync with each other when you eat your meals slowly.

Vitamin C: The Basics

Most of us know what Vitamin C is. It's a cheap supplement that we can take that helps with a wide variety of health conditions as well as prevent illness. Vitamin C is an essential nutrient which means that we cannot live without absorbing Vitamin C. Is one of the safest Vitamins that our bodies can take.
The Benefits of Vitamin C
There are many benefits to obtaining the recommended intake of Vitamin C. Even though it's not the cure for the common cold, it has been shown through studies that it helps minimize the symptoms and helps you get over the cold faster. Since Vitamin C is an antioxidant, supplementing with this Vitamin can help reduce cellular DNA damage. This can help you look younger, give you more energy throughout the day, and also help lower the chances of developing cancer. If you are a smoker, Vitamin C can also help protect you against the oxidative damage caused by the exposure to the smoke.
Vitamin C is also great for speeding up the time it takes to heal wounds and creating healthy new tissue when you are injured. Vitamin C also plays a part in the creation of almost everything in your body such as bones, teeth, blood vessels, skin and more.
How Much Should I Take?
The bare minimum that an adult should be taking of Vitamin C is 75 mg a day. This amount is just to keep you from developing conditions such as scurvy. Many of the benefits of Vitamin C require that you take at least 500 mg to 1000 mg a day. It is very difficult to overdose on Vitamin C so it is very safe for you to take the thousand milligrams without any side effects.
Supplementation and Food Sources
If you eat fairly healthy with your meals consisting of vegetables and fruits, you likely obtain the majority of the Vitamin C that is required for optimal health. As with most Canadians and Americans, the majority of people do not eat as healthy as we should and thus supplementation is a great way of getting the Vitamin C. Vitamin C is usually taken with an orange flavored chew-able tablet which is extremely easy to take. If you don't mind swallowing pills, you can also buy tasteless capsules.
Most people know that oranges have a high source of Vitamin C, but did you know there's many other fruits and vegetables that contain almost the same amount? Some of the fruits that have high amounts of Vitamin C include grapefruits, cantaloupe, pineapple, strawberries, blueberries or any other berry as well as oranges. If you are not too big into fruit and enjoy vegetables more, you could be loading your plate up with broccoli, cauliflower, any type of leafy greens such as spinach, as well as potatoes. As you can see, the majority of healthy foods contain high amounts of Vitamin C.
Last Words
Obtaining at least 500 mg of Vitamin C a day will help you boost your energy, help fight oxidative stress and make you feel better as a whole. A few years back I'd wake up with very low energy and once I started taking a Vitamin C supplement, I started noticing energy improvement and just feeling overall healthier and happier. So stop reading this article and get yourself some Vitamin C!

Paleo Diet - What Is It and Why It Is Important

It is based on a simple premise that you would not have eaten the Paleo Diet if the cavemen hadn't eaten it. That is the reason that the Paleo Diet is also known as "The Cavemen Diet". It includes nuts, meats, fish, seeds and vegetables, all those things which you could find or hunt from the natural environment. So it is the diet which our great ancestors ate and used to live a healthy life. As time goes on, people became more advanced, and the agricultural revolution took place. We became farmers from hunters. We formed societies. And from that day we have progressed to what we are today.
Our diet also shifted with the time being from Paleo to more modern which increased intake of calories. And there the problem took place. As according to Robb Wolf, Homo-Sapiens in old age spent a very long time as hunters and made their bodies adapts that way of living over thousands of years, but as the revolution took place it shifted our diet but our genetics are the same as the past Homo-Sapiens, so our bodies never synced properly to eating the food what we are eating right now. We started relying on grains like pasta, bread, corn, rice etc and nearly ceased the intake of vegetables, seasonal fruits and meat. Hence becoming fatter and exposed to diseases like diabetes and heart attacks. According to study about 33% of us are considered as obese and 66% of us are overweight, and it is getting worse day by day. The average Homo-Sapien back then was big, strong, muscular, lively, athletic, adaptable and in good shape. But now an average Homo-Sapien is obese, overweight, out of shape, worried, sleep deprived, sorrowful and dying from countless preventable diseases.
So it is obvious that our modern diet (like grains) is not healthy for us as we are not biologically designed for it, and it is better to take that diet which allows us to tap into our genetic potential and makes us start living healthier. One more point was raised by Mr. Mark in his article from Daily Apple that grains cause kind of weird reaction in our digestive system.
Basically, grains are made up of carbohydrates, and those carbohydrates are converted into glucose (a type of sugar) in our system which produces energy and helps our body to function, and is also used to perform various other tasks in our body. And any glucose that is not consumed as energy is stored as fat in our body. This shows that how modern diet is affecting our health and why the Paleo diet is so much important for us.
